we celebrated lovey day with our traditional red dinner. we set the dining room table extra fancy + daddy made a really yummy (and mostly red) dinner + we exchanged valentines (ella surprised us with special poems - which were fantastic and hilarious)... wrapped it up with daddy's famous perfiteroles. my four legged valentine ate his kibble mixed w/ filet.
i feel so lucky to share valentines day with them. because today is about love. and i couldn't love them anymore. for real...
i have a few other valentines in my life (lucky me). if you are one of them... i hope you know that i LOVE you! xoxoxo
here are a few snaps of our day. i hope your day was yummy too:
started our day with fancy fruit - delivered to our door! thank you grandma kim...
getting ready... ella is a big fan of the tissue paper hearts. (me too)
love the valentines day mice. we made about a million of these the other night. we had an impressive assembly line going on with grandma and pappy. (thank you g & p). they were a big hit @ ella's school party. cute mice found here.
ella received fancy flowers from her daddy...
we ate by candlelight. there was a lot of complaining about not being able to see one's food. maybe we aren't ready for straight up candlelight just yet...
final preparations being made. 3 of my 4 valentine boys are in the picture.
ella's valentines were written in fancy curly print. have i mentioned how much i like her? or how very excited she is about every holiday? gotta love an 8 year old valentine girl...
my boys post fancy dinner. as you can see, coat and tie are not required. but maybe they should be... next year.
