here we are playing ball in the snow this afternoon:
he doesn't even look like a dog, here. ears back, standing on three legs, burning a hole through the ball with his eyes...
i love this part of him (ok, i love all of him). the white fur on his neck is super soft, like bunny rabbit fur.
we are in a deep freeze around here. lots of snow and frigid temps. i am still very much in holiday break mode. we had such a happy break. filled with lots of good pajama time + yummy food + movies and blankets and general lounging. very happy indeed.
is it too late for me to share some pics of our christmas? sorry about the delay. as i mentioned... i was very busy keeping warm with my babies and my boyfriend and my puppy.

three of my favorite girls. ella is preparing to leave santa's cookies + carrots + cheese and head off to bed. everyone knows he won't come until everyone is SLEEPING.
the scene right before the mister and i head off to bed. i like to take notice of this moment. it's magical. notice the fire is out (a special concern for ella).
christmas morning mayhem. look out the window. it is dark because it is 6:15 in the morning!!!!
milo wonders what just happened. and why we are not still in our warm beds. notice the sun is just now coming up...
by 9 am, ella is on her 17th game of sponge bob operation. milo is down for the count...
a few days later, we rally and head east to visit the russells!!!!

ella can't believe her good fortune. we are visiting the russells AND mrs. russell bought fruit loops.
last snap before heading home. thank you russells - we had so much fun with you guys! the green sofa is still one of my fave places in the whole world.
we said goodbye to 2009 quietly. warm and toasty in our house. chinese take out + best ever neighbors + pots and pans on the front porch @ midnight. hello new decade.
