scenes from an italian restaurant...

last night, we gathered here for mom's birthday celebration:

two of my favorite girls. birthday girl and the one with the crazy 8 year old teeth...

i can not get used to seeing pictures like this. because (even though i see him all the time) i don't expect him to look so grown up! i mean c'mon! he's my BABY!!!

i like this glimpse @ sweet noah waiting for the food to arrive. that kid has the best big brown eyes...

michael and uncle zack discuss something important, while val and ella make a plan @ the other end of the table.

 

we had a yummy dinner + fancy cupcakes from here. (i recommend the vanilla/vanilla).

mom sealed the deal by blowing out her candle and making a wish.

here's hoping it comes true...
