flashback monday

we were treated to a back to school shopping spree this weekend (thank you grandma kim!). 

watching my girl pick and choose her hairbands @ crewcuts made me remember a time (not so long ago) when she found it perfectly acceptable to don a black wig and call it a day.

snow white spent many a day serving wooden sandwiches to her big brothers...

and so it is october... (and i married a lumberjack)

i love love love fall.

and today happens to be a BEAUTIFUL fall day in pittsburgh.

(made even more beautiful by following many days of gray, rainy yuck)

welcome october!

that was the october part of the post. now for the lumberjack part...

we are in the middle of a little project around here. (imagine that)

in order for said project to happen, we had to say goodbye to a great, big tree. 

after the whole chopping of the tree ordeal was finished,

zack decided to try his hand @ chopping wood.

and...

he went a little crazy.

after he went through OUR tree, our neighbor offered one of her fallen trees.

and so my lumberjack spent the entire day chopping wood.

and the entire evening on the couch + tylenol
