in the spirit of being thankful, i took a quick tour of my house and snapped shots of things i really love.
obviously, the things i love MOST in my house are the people/puppy.
but it was fun to look at the things i see/live with everyday and think about which i really loved.
what i found is that there are a lot of things in my everyday world that make me smile.
if you feel so inspired - do it in your house.
it might just change the way you look at your world.
here are a few of mine:
a piece of the bulletin board in my office. it's always changing with photos and kid art. i must look at this 50 times a day.
my maggie carved out of a piece of foam. a gift from a very special person. it lives in my bathroom right beside my favorite perfume (daisy - marc jacobs)
big ben and the solar system in my boys' room. makes me smile when i look at this image. reminds me of how cool and fun boys are. and i totally dig them...
mr. sunshine hangs above her bed. we look at him and the hanging ball things every night when we read together. i also love her swirly bed and fairy curtains. very swirly and girly.
....the scene on her floor. love it.
the base of my very old dining room table. we used to play fort under this table when we lived in aspinwall. i haven't seen it for a while. but it is beautiful and worth the effort to move the chairs and take a peek now and then.
this is where i stand everyday to wash dishes/unload dishwasher etc.
love her preschool solar system.

love the view from this window.
it's a good spot.
this painting hangs in the foyer. i see it many times a day as i walk up or down the stairs.
it is us.
it was a gift from my boyfriend on our tenth anniversary.
and, i love it.
so there you have it.
8 random things in my house that make me happy.
i think i will do this from time to time because it makes me feel thankful.
and happy.
